Hub Pages for Beginners
HubPages allows users to
create pages that are designed to be niche promotions of specific products, tools, services, or information in order to add revenue for both the Hub owner (you) and the copyrighted owner of the product, tool, and so on.
In this manner, you bring in money because of the advertisement that you are promoting, and the owner receives traffic to his/her site, and thus more income is generated for them.
And if you think about it great traffic doesn’t have to benefit just them…
That’s why I would advice you to think about affiliate marketing when you get someone to click into the merchants webspace you at least earn from that click through.
HubPages users just like squidoo or wordpress have a pretty large and devote community about them, there are various helpful tutorials from other hubbers that can be found on hubpages itself. Once a member yon may find that there are groups that you will want to connect with.
Making Money Through HubPages
Google also offers a way to make money for yourself on your Hub. Adsense is reminiscent of typical commercials, with Google offering the Hub owner (yourself) money for promoting what they want you to promote (their ad). You receive money based on how many people click on the ad within your HubPage. It’s as simple as that.
Much like Adsense, other sites often offer compensation for displaying ads or information from a third-party point of view. This type of payment is also per-click usually, and through companies like eBay, Amazon, etc. Most of the time, sites like these will link through your page through product information. For example, if you are writing about Dell computers, the sites may offer links to auctions or “Buy It Now” products that are compatible or identical to your information.
Affiliate Marketing
There is more to HubPages than cheesy advertisements, though. You can make money based strictly on your own pages. By using per-click advertisements and linking back to your own pages, you can create a revenue flow that can either supplement an existing income or, in time, become a sole source of income in some cases.
First, you must master the art of building a free webpage that people will find interesting. Use resources such as Google’s Wonder Wheel to find topics that people search for, then build and expand on those topics. Some search engines offer a “Most Searched” icon, allowing you to see what interests the world at a given time (normally only twenty-four hours). It only takes a few people to get started with making a living.
Make sure that you never duplicate content. Your research should unearth plenty of material that you can use in order to make a professional HubPage without having to copy the hard work of someone else. On top of that, it’s against the law (and unethical) to plagiarize someone’s work. It will get you kicked off of HubPages permanently.
Your work should look professional in every aspect. Check your grammar, spelling, and readability statistics often. For any material that is borrowed directly, cite the source. Give credit where it is due.
There are literally hundreds of Internet advertisements promising work-from-home and “get rich quick” schemes. Many are nonsense and are mostly attempts to steal your personal information. However, there are ways to make money from your computer without having to auction the rights of your firstborn child or give away all of the nation’s classified documents.
Summary
If you follow these simple guidelines, your HubPage will be making money in no time. Just keep it somewhat simple, unless you are a professional in the field you are discussing, and learn what people want to read about. Before you know it, you will be earning money without having to lift a finger hardly, once you get some content under your username. It really is fairly easy to post content and make money.
